Who is Dan?
Dan Lester currently works in the construction industry, and in his role he works with management and field personnel to create viable and realistic solutions that educate the construction workforce on the diversity and cultural principals relevant to construction.
In 2011, Dan joined a private catholic high school as the first African American faculty member and administrator, where he started as the Director of Diversity. His role tasked him with training and educating faculty, staff, students, and the school community on factors of diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural awareness.
Dan is the CEO of the IN-JN(engine) Media Group, a video production company he founded in 2009 with his wife Burnea. IN-JN specializes in marketing and promoting educational/non-profit institutions, live events, short films, commercials, music videos and recruiting materials for aspiring college and professional athletes.
Lester is on the Executive board of a non-profit organization that provides mentorship and financial resources for high school students looking to become viable candidates for construction trades and professional engineering degree programs.
Lester holds a bachelor of science in business and management information systems, with a minor in information science and technology, from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
A meritorious communicator, Dan has shared his engaging message of leadership, inclusion, diversity, and equity through The Art of Adaption across the country.
